Book Week Parade
What a wonderful celebration of reading we had last Thursday celebrating Book Week. Thank you to all our families for sending your children to school in their amazing costumes. It was great to see so many parents in attendance to support and cheer our students dressed as their favourite book character. The costumes were extremely impressive this year, we have some very creative students, parents and teachers in our community. Adjudicating the best costumes for each year level proved extremely difficult for the judging panel. Thanks to Mrs. Bobbin for organising such a phenomenal event.
World Teacher Aide Day
Today we recognised a group of extremely dedicated, hardworking and committed members of our school community; our Teacher Aides. The 2nd September is Teacher Aide Day in Australia and an opportunity to acknowledge the important role of Teacher Aides whose hard work and dedication make a difference to students, teachers and the entire school community. The Musgrave Hill Teacher Aide team are a fantastic group of professionals who support our school, providing assistance that gives the extra attention some students need to get the most out of a lesson and supporting our teachers to organise engaging and relevant activities each day. On behalf of our school community I would like to say a big thank you to all of our wonderful Teacher Aides and assure them that their work is greatly appreciated by all, not only today but every day of the year!
Enrol now for 2023
Can I please ask that parents of students commencing Prep in 2023 contact the office on 5644 5555 or drop by and collect an enrolment pack? Prep interviews are being conducted now and the information gathered during these interviews, are vital to ensure a smooth transition to schooling in 2023.
Father’s Day
It is my hope that all of our amazing Fathers, Grandfathers and Carers have a wonderful Father’s Day on Sunday. The contribution you all make to your children should never be underestimated.
Every dad needs their time to shine, enjoy your special day.
R U OK Day
It is our national day of action when we remind Australians that every day is the day to ask, ‘are you OK?’ and start meaningful conversations whenever they spot the signs that someone they care about might be struggling with life. RUOK has released resources, tips and ideas to help you drive genuine change in your workplace, school and community. Below are links to access the RUOK? Day resources.

A Conversation Can Change a Life - R U Ok? Inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling with life. You don’t need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener. Use these 4 steps and have a conversation that could change a life.

P&C News – Colour Run
Friday 16th September
Musgrave is hosting its very own Crazy Colour Fun Run. All children received fundraising brochures last week and the great news is, we as a community, have already raised over $11,000.00 Thank you so much for those who have contributed.
For our first week we held a competition to see which class could get the most online profiles with a donation. This class would be the first to run on the day and also get to slime their teacher and teacher aide. The winner was 6 Gold. Mrs Kennon and Miss Kelsey both had mixed reactions to this announcement.
We also made a promise to the students that for every $5,000.00 raised we would draw a staff member out of the hat to be slimed on the day as well.
The lucky winner of that draw was Mr Swan.
